Little River South Carolina Golf Courses

Cypress Bay Golf Club: This classic Russell Breeden design offers a perfect blend of tradition and history. Cypress Bay Golf Club features artfully crowned greens with front bunkering that will keep the player guessing. Doglegs were designed so a player needs to shape his shots with a few forced carries. Be prepared to use every club in your bag! This course favors a player with strategy in mind, not just power. The clubhouse features a well-appointed grillroom offering breakfast, lunch as well as the perfect place for post-match relaxation.

Glen Dornoch: Designed by Clyde Johnston in a tribute to the legendary Donald Ross, Glen Dornoch is a traditional course where each hole flows with the natural terrain of lakes, centuries-old live oaks, and spectacular marsh and river views. Featuring rare-for-the-area 35-foot elevation changes and South Carolina¹s most beautiful stretch of the Intracoastal Waterway.

This is truly a wonderful site for a championship golf course. Each hole seems to have been crafted by nature rather than by man. The three finishing holes are among the world's best.

Heather Glen: A small group of ardent lovers of the game have molded this 400-acre historic site into a golfing masterpiece.

Designed by Willard Byrd and Clyde Johnston, the natural beauty of ever-changing elevations, gigantic 100-year-old pines, colorful dogwoods, winding streams, and the lovely Firth of Clyde ...all crowned with a 19th Century British-styled clubhouse, have created a showcase symbolizing the beauty of Scottish tradition.

River Hills Golf and Country Club: River Hills Golf and Country Club offers a magnificent 18-hole course designed by Tom Jackson, with fairways that meander through a picturesque, heavily wooded rolling terrain. The rolling hills, unusual for a coastal course, with frequent 40-foot elevation changes and non-parallel fairways, are this layout's signature.

The immaculately manicured greens provide optimum playing conditions throughout the year. The course provides four sets of tees, so golfers of all skill levels can enjoy an unforgettable playing experience. River Hills has been named to Golfweek's Top 50 in the Southeast list, and our recent renovation has helped make us a favorite choice for Grand Strand golfers. Our friendly, courteous staff prides itself on a tradition of quality customer service and unparalleled course conditions.

North Myrtle Beach South Carolina Golf Courses

Aberdeen Country Club: Aberdeen will take you into the game of golf in the true "Scottish" tradition. All three nines are reminiscent of those early days of golf with the "Meadows", "Highlands" & "Woodlands" nines. Tucked among towering hardwoods and the beautiful Waccamaw River, this course features extensive mounding, wide landing areas, & bent grass greens. This is one of Tom Jackson's premiere 27 hole facilities in the Carolinas.

Beachwood Golf Club: Located in the heart of North Myrtle Beach, Beachwood Golf Club has been setting the standard for Myrtle Beach golf courses since 1968. Beachwood Golf Club is nestled between the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Beachwood Golf Club offers a golfer friendly eighteen hole championship golf course designed by the great Gene Hamm that winds its way among sparkling lakes, dazzling floral displays, and communities of inquisitive wildlife. Beachwood provides four sets of tees for golfers of all skill levels, as well as a lighted practice facility to sharpen your skills the night before play.

Long Bay Club: Holes #7, #10, #13 & #18 are featured in the book "The 100 Greatest Holes along the Grand Strand," published by The Sun News. If a player can tame The Long Bay Club, they may feel confident enough to take on the Golden Bear. The Jack Nicklaus-designed course is considered one of the most difficult on the Grand Strand. Most of the time when players walk off the course," Roger Batton said, "they're not frustrated but they're coming back because of the challenge of it."

Shaftesbury Glen: Once again, renowned golf course architect Clyde Johnston has created a masterpiece. Think Winged Foot and Augusta National - Clyde Johnston's inspiration. Built in the tradition of the typical British Isles course with long yardage off the tee, wide flowing fairways and elevated Bent greens, Shaftesbury Glen meanders through forests and farmlands along the Waccamaw River.

Brunswick Isles North Carolina Golf Courses

Calabash Golf Links: Calabash Golf Links is located outside the famous fishing village of Calabash, North Carolina and just minutes from Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Wilmington, N.C. The noted architect, Willard Byrd, has designed a traditional course that is challenging yet player friendly and fun, with no residential distractions. Thick Bermuda fairways and tift-dwarf Bermuda greens not only challenge the novice player, but also the seasoned veteran with most of the trouble off to the side.

The DuPont World Amateur Championship, local players and tourist have given Calabash Golf Links overwhelming accolades regarding fantastic greens and hospitality, including a Four Star rating from "Golf Digest's Places to Play.

Crow Creek Golf Club: Since opening in February 2000, Crow Creek Golf Club has become one of the most popular destinations for golfers visiting the Grand Strand. Crow Creek offers an enjoyable challenge for resort players from the regular tees and the championship tees stretch the layout to 7,101 yards for the low-handicap players. Generous TifSport bermuda fairways and undulating L-93 bent grass greens combine for perfect playing conditions year-round.

Lion's Paw: Lion's Paw® has been described as the eminent Willard Byrd's finest work. Before and after you play, enjoy the grand Ocean Ridge Clubhouse, home to Tamer's Restaurant and an impressive, well-stocked golf shoppe voted one of the "100 Best Golf Shops In America."

Panthers' Run: Panthers' Run® Golf Links was born to be a different kind of challenge. Tim Cate has designed this marvelous cat to prowl along the edge of a nature preserve and continually test your ability to stay out of the surrounding marshland. Wide fairways that twist and turn, plus scenic water features blend together perfectly to create one of the most visually interesting courses in the Carolinas. Golf For Women magazine called Panthers' Run® one of the "Top 100 Fairways for 2000"

The Pearl Golf Links: Tucked quietly on the banks of the Calabash River, in among the whispering pines and unspoiled natural beauty of the Carolina coast you will find The Pearl Golf Links. Coupling the beauty of a 900-acre marsh preserve and the ingenious design of architect Dan Maples, these two golf courses (Pearl East and Pearl West) have become a seaside legend, luring player’s back again and again. Sometimes it’s where you play that affects how you play.

Thistle: Create a course that is “ferocious, yet fair” were the instructions to course designer Tim Cate. The twenty-seven hole layout at Thistle will challenge and entertain golfers of every ability. Wide, well-manicured fairways and beautiful bentgrass greens have made Thistle one of the most popular stops on the Myrtle Beach tour.

Tee times are spaced a generous twelve minutes apart to establish a comfortable pace of play, and the entire staff goes to great lengths to make sure you enjoy your day at Thistle. Golf Digest gave it four stars in their “Guide to Places to Play” and Golf for Women ranked it among the “Top 100 Fairways in America.”

Tiger's Eye: The new $10 million Tiger's Eye completes the Big Cats trilogy with Tim Cate's newest creation that offers 18 unforgettable signature holes. It's unlike anything in Myrtle Beach. In fact, it was nominated by Golf Digest magazine as "Best New Golf Course In America." This wild new cat will be tough to tame with 60-foot elevation changes. The undulating state-of-the-art Tifsport Bermuda grass fairways twist and turn up and down presenting you with a variety of lies along scenic water features. The large, notoriously slick G-2 bentgrass greens require a cautious putting game. Plus, there are 40 acres of wild flowers, lakes, a par-3 island and even a waterfall. Tiger's Eyesm is strictly top shelf. The 20,000 square foot clubhouse is the perfect place to lick your wounds or savor your victory.
